Multi-Zippered Pouch with Leonie Fraser $165
Date: Tuesday 3 November and Thursday 5 November, 2020
Time: 9:30 setup for a 10:00am start until 2:30pm
Focus of this workshop: bag construction using multiple zippers, internal pouches and bias binding to finish
Description:
The bag you will make becomes a versatile addition to your sewing accessories – or a wonderful gift for someone special to keep small tools, makeup accessories or treasured small toys hidden in with pens, pencils and scissors. Really, who doesn’t need a bag to keep those special things together? This one has multiple zippered pockets with other pouches between them – as you can see in the picture, the divisions are wide enough to hold spools of thread, large scissors and all the tools you will need – as well as a take-along project. Zippered pockets are perfect for holding packets of needles, thimbles, needle threaders, and all the myriad of small items you don’t want to be floating around in your sewing bag. (one of mine always holds band-aids!)
Level of Skill required for this workshop: Suitable for all sewers familiar with their machine, and how to change the sewing foot and stitch style.
This workshop will develop the following skills:
- Pouch bag construction with a constructed lining
- Inserting zippers
- Stitching around a curve to join the bag together
